Companies across the country are recruiting, training but then losing the best and brightest women before they make partner or move into the corner office.
The Center for Women and Business is launching this first-in-the-nation online collaboration to find new ideas and best practices for retaining and advancing women. I invite you to join the conversation and be part of the solution. At the end of this online exchange, a small group of participants will join me in presenting our results to the White House Council on Women and Girls and to CEOs from America's largest corporations.

At VIVA, we believe that policies would work better if leaders consulted the people most directly impacted by the policies they make. Our online collaboratives give front-line workers a voice in policy. This conversation about workplace policies that would keep the best and brightest women on a corporate leadership track is being conducted in partnership with Bentley University's Center for Women & Business. We invite any current and former members of the workforce to join us and leverage your expertise, ideas and professionalism to effect change.

Welcome to the Advancing Women in the Workplace VIVA Idea Exchange.
I am Cindy Richards and I will be your moderator. Over the next few weeks, we are asking any current and former employees to share thoughts about what’s needed to keep the best and brightest women in the workforce and on a leadership track.
How the Advancing Women in the Workplace VIVA Idea Exchange Works
STEP 1:
Current and former employees from across America share their ideas about how to retain and advance women.
STEP 2:
Thought leaders from the conversation are invited to join a Writing Collaborative that will summarize the ideas and distill them into actionable recommendations.
STEP 3:
Members of the Writing Collaborative meet with White House officials to deliver their recommendations.
